ابرهای رول (پدیده ای نادر از هواشناسی) نوعی ابر بسیار جالب و عجیب هر ساله در فصل بهار در خلیج کارپنتاریای شمال استرالیا در ساعات اولیه صبح تشکیل میشود که شبیه رول یا استوانه است! این نمونه از ابر به ندرت در جاهای دیگر دیده شده است. طول این ابر به 1000 کیلومتر میرسد و ارتفاع آن بین یک تا دو کیلومتر است و با سرعت 60 کیلومتر در ساعت حرکت میکند. بهترین مکان برای مشاهده این ابرها محله Burktaun شهر استرالیاست و بهترین زمان در سراسر ماه های سپتامبر و اکتبر (بهار استرالیا) میباشد. دیدن چنین صحنه ای واقعا هیجان انگیز است!
