NIKON PLANS COOLPIX P700 CAMERA WITH 83X OPTICAL ZOOM   2014

 

 

 

Nikon will soon have a new digital camera on the market with rather curious specs. The new Coolpix P700 camera is expected in May 2014 and will carry 83x optical zoom and more.

The new camera will sport a metallic chassis, a 1-inch Aptina sensor, f/3.5-8.5 24-2000 lens and a high-performance Expeed 4 processor. The camera will also have a 3.5-inch display and Advance VR/VR and Electronic VR anti-vibration systems.

The price of the new camera is not known at the moment but it should be around USD 450.

NIKON TO RELEASE MIRRORLESS NIKON 1 J4 CAMERA   2014

 

 

 

The Japanese camera maker Nikon will soon release a new mirrorless digital camera that will be known as Nikon 1 J4. The new camera is expected in May 2014.

The upcoming Nikon product will belong to the budget Nikon cameras but despite this it will come with a rather nice aluminum chassis that will measure 100 x 60 x 29 mm and total weight of 232 grams. Customers will be able to choose among orange, black, silver and white colors.

The camera is said to have an 18.4 MP CMOS sensor, ISO between 160-12800, a dual-core Expeed A4 processor, a hybrid autofocus system, a 3-inch sensor display with more than 1 million pixels, Wi-Fi connectivity, a microSDXC slot, USB 2.0 and a mini-HDMI port. The camera is capable of shooting 1080/60p video or 720/120p video with stereo sound and offers 20 FPS in autofocus mode and 60 FPS with fixed focus.

If you decide to get this camera you will get more than it – the camera pack also comes with 1 Nikkor VR 10-30 mm f/3.5-5.6 PD-Zoom lens, a lithium-ion battery, a charger and a USB cable.

The price of the Nikon 1 J4 is expected to be EUR 590.

OLYMPUS PREPARES RUGGED DIGITAL CAMERA  2014

 

 

The famous digital camera maker Olympus plans to release a new rugged digital camera in June of this year. The novelty will be known as Stylus Tough TG-3 and will be an improved version of the TG-2 his digital camera. The upcoming camera measures 112 x 66 x 31 mm and weighs 247 grams. The camera is water-proof and can be used at depths that reach 15 meters. In addition it will withstand drops from 2.1 meters and is capable of working at temperatures as low as -10 degrees Celsius.

The Stylus Tough TG-3 will be available in red and black colors and will offer a 16 MP BSI-CMOS sensor with dimensions of 1/2.3 inches (6.17 x 4.55 mm), f/2-4.9, 25-100 mm optical zoom lens, a 3-inch 460K-dot LCD display, GPS and Wi-Fi connectivity and more such as the new microscope mode that lets you take pictures at 10 mm from your subject. The rest of the specs include a powerful TruePic VII processor, ISO 100-6400, shutter speed of 1/2000-4 seconds, 36 MB of internal memory, support for HDMI 1080p recording, a USB 2.0 port and a battery that will allow you to take as many as 330 pictures with one battery charge.

Once released the Olympus Stylus Tough TG-3 will sell for USD 350.

CANON RELEASES POWERSHOT SX700 HS DIGITAL CAMERA 2014

 

 

 

 

 

Fans of the Japanese camera maker Canon finally have the opportunity to purchase the Canon PowerShot SX700 HS digital camera, which was unveiled a few months ago. The camera is available in red or black color and measures 112.7 x 65.8 x 34.8 mm for total weight of 269 grams.

The tech specs of the camera have not been improved in this time period and it now comes with a 16.1 MP CMOS sensor with the DIGIC 6 image processor and 30x optical zoom. The zoom also has a 35mm equivalent focal length of 25-750 mm, a 3.0-inch LCD display, support for 1080p video, Wi-Fi and NFC. A nice peculiarity of the camera is that it comes with a lens that includes 30 elements in 10 groups and the ZoomPlus function increases optical zoom to 60x while at the same time preserves the image quality. The rest of the specs of this nice camera include ISO of 100-3200, a SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card slot, a micro-HDMI port and a GPS receiver. The camera allows the end user to use 46 photo effects as well as shoot up to 8.5 frames per second.

The Canon PowerShot SX700 HS digital camera is now available in North America where it costs USD 349.

  NIKON PRESENTS COOLPIX S32 DIGITAL CAMERA  2014

 

 

The Japanese company Nikon has announced the all new Coolpix S32 digital camera. The new company product comes with a water proof chassis that is also shock and dust resistant and more technologies.

The S32 measures 108 x 66 x 40 mm and weighs just 175 grams. It has been related to the budget market segment so don’t expect too much out of it but even then the camera comes with a 13.2 megapixel CMOS sensor, a 2.7-inch display and 30-90 mm equivalent lens. The rest of the specs include ISO 125 – 1600, NIKKOR lens with 3x optical zoom, a microSD card slot, USB 2.0, 25 MB of internal memory, shooting of Full HD videos and a battery that can power it up until you make 220 wrong pictures.

The Coolpix S32 should be available around the world now with the device costing USD 130.

NIKON STARTS SALES OF COOLPIX S3600 DIGITAL CAMERA   2014

 

 

The Japanese company Nikon has started the sales of its latest small-sized digital camera known as Coolpix S3600. The camera comes in a sleek chassis that measures 97 x 58 x 20 mm and weighs 125 grams.

The new digital camera arrives with a 20.1 MP CMOS sensor, NIKKOR lens with 8x optical zoom, a 2.7-inch display, an anti-vibration system and a memory slot for SD/SDHC/SDXC cards that you will surely need since the Coolpix S3600 comes with 25 MB of internal memory only.

The rest of the specs include ISO 80-3200, 5-level brightness adjustment, video shooting in QVGA, VGA and HD resolutions, 18 scene modes to choose among, top continuous shooting speed at full resolution at up to 6 shots at 1.1 shots per second and a rechargeable EN-EL19 battery.

The camera can now be ordered online where it costs USD 139.

FUJIFILM ANNOUNCES X-T1 INTERCHANGEABLE LENS CAMERA  2014

 

 

Fujifilm has proudly announced the latest addition to its long list of digital cameras – the X-T1. The newcomer is an interchangeable lens camera with two major improvements – Fujifilm claims that this is the camera that has the fastest Real Time Viewfinder at just 0.005 seconds and the highest magnification ratio at 0.77x.

The X-T1 goes further though – the camera packs weather resistant components with the lens being one of them, SLR-style handling and mechanical dials. The camera comes with a 3-inch 2.36m dot resolution OLED display, four shooting modes to choose from – Full, Normal, Dual and Portrait, a 16.3 MP APS-C CMOS II sensor, EXR II processor for instant image processing, wide viewing angles and more. All this is housed in a magnesium-based chassis. Due to its weather resistance the camera can be used at temperatures as low as minus 10 degrees Celsius. As expected the camera supports Wi-Fi too.

The Fujifilm X-T1 will arrive on the market in February 2014 with the basic version costing USD 1300. If you want to get a 18-55 mm f/2.8-4 lens prepare to spend USD 1700.

NIKON DEBUTS BUDGET-ORIENTED D3300 CAMERA   2014

 

The Japanese camera maker Nikon has officially unveiled its latest budget-oriented digital camera known as D3300. The device measures 124 x 98 x 76 mm and weighs 430 grams with an included EN-EL14a battery.

The new camera is based on a 24 MP CMOS APS-C sensor and offers light sensitivity that goes from 100 to 25 600 ISO. Pictures get processed by the powerful Expeed 4 processor and there’s an 11-point autofocus system as well as an optical viewfinder with 95 per cent frame coverage and 0.85 fold increase.

The D3300 comes with a SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card slot, USB 2.0 and Mini HDMI ports, a 3-inch TFT display with 921 000 pixels, 160-degree viewing angles and support for the Live View mode. Users can produce images in NEF/RAW/JPEG formats at up to 6016 x 4000 pixels and there’s also support for MPEG-4/H.264 videos shot at Full HD resolution. The camera also offers 7 preset settings for various cases and optional Wi-Fi and GPS services.

The D3300 will be commercially available in early February. Users will be able to choose among three colors but the price will always be the same – USD 650.
