The Radeon HD 4850 has been in for a while and boy, did it change the face of the market as we knew it. PowerColor / TUL came up with the first non-reference design for the HD 4850, it sticks to the AMD reference PCB alebit changes to the cooler and the memory. It uses ZeroTherm full cooper GPU cooler with CVVT technology(Continue Variable Velocity Timing). The card now features a mammoth 2 GB of GDDR3 memory. There are minor changes to the GPU parameters as well: 665 MHz core and 1000 MHz memory.

The Taiwanese team of Tom's Hardware revealed several confidential (no more) slides pertaining to the AMD R700 product line, exposing details of the product codenamed "Spartan". It's now confirmed that it comes with a total of 2 GB of GDDR5 memory spanning across sixteen 1 Gb chips

Japanese retail appeared the first water cooling systems for the video card NVIDIA - GeForce GTX 280/260. This products was released by koolance company . This water block , is intended for heat removal from both GPU and memory microcircuits . In this case the height of water-block allow to use several video accelerators, which work in SLI- regime.

Though there are some bugs on the GPU-Z screen shot, you can see that the core clock is running at 750 MHz while the GDDR5 memory is running at 900 MHz- the same speeds the single GPU HD 4870 512MB card runs at. AMD is obviously serious about getting as much performance out of their GPUs as possible and would we would likely see an HD 4850 X2 card at some point too - much like we saw the HD 3850 X2 1GB card from ASUS this year.

So it seems that NVIDIA has been sneaking its 9700M / 9800M GPUs into potent gaming laptops for a little while now, but we're finally getting some official-ish verbiage on the new-ish families. The GeForce 9700M GT, 9700M GTS, 9800M GT, 9800M GTS and 9800M GTX should all be available as we speak in some of your favorite portable LAN machines, with the latter capable of a mind-melting 420 gigaflops.

Since many AMD partners began to supply video cards radeon HD 4850 with alternative designs, we tried to find the most interesting copies.

It is known that powerColor company in its series PCS will propose a video card with the alternative cooling systems, and increase the default card frequencies . As reports assocaite powerColor company also intends to present the radeon HD 4870 version with 1 Gb GDDR5 memory and alternative cooler. The latter will uses four thermal tubes, and it can reduce the video chip temperature by 20 degree Celsiuss in comparison with standard solution. The minimum overclock with such cooler will be 800 MHz. Since the standard radeon HD 4870 cooling system is poor, the alternative versions radeon HD 4870 will for sure enjoy special popularity among overclockers .

Asspcaite also published the photograph of alternative version radeon HD 4850 from MSI. This Video card has similar cooler with four thermal tubes, and here the default frequencies remained on the regular values (625/1986 MHz). The GDDR 3 memory capacity is equal to 512 mb. In Japanese stores already appeared the overclocked version radeon HD 4870 from MSI with 512 mb GDDR5 memory . This Video card has a standard design, but its frequencies are increased to 780/4000 MHz. It is completely possible that later MSI will release the radeon HD 4870 version with alternative cooler.

As reports assocaite, ECS company decided to release the uncommon product: ; two video cards GeForce 9800 GTX+ with hybrid cooling system. The latter is assembled from two coolers TMG ND3 (CL -W0119), which combine water-block and classical fan, and also one block big water 760is (CL -W0121-03), which unites pump, reservoir and radiator with fan.

This collection was called Hydra. Video cards work at the regular frequencies 738/1836/2200 MHz, their 60 mm fans work @ 1500 rp/min, creating a noise level not more than 16 dB. This Cooling system is capable of pumping through 50 liters of liquid per hour, the pump has the noise level not more than 16 dB. The 120 mm fan ( radiator cooling ) work at 1600-2400 rp/min, its noise level is 16-20 dB. In Europe this complete set will be proposed in August for 460 Euros. If we considers that the pair of video cards geForce 9800 GTX+ can be purchased for 330 Euros, the remaining 130 Euros are the cost of this cooling system.

Altough many non-reference HD 4850 have already showed up, they seems only changed the cooler. As the biggest partner of AMD, Sapphire introduces the first circuit and PCB re-design non-reference HD 4850.

As pics shows, the power module is rebuilt on the left and GPU move a bit toward the back end. PCB seems shorter and a new cooler sized for about 90 x 90 x 15 mm. The cooler is crude. It’s doubted whether it’s able to cool the HD 4850.

The non-reference HD 4850 works at 625/1996MHz, the same as a reference card. However, as an non-reference card, let’s expect its price.

mr pc جان با این مطلب مشخصه که دارن کم کم روی 4850 به نحوهای مختلفی مانور میکنن و مطمئنا بهتر از اینها هم خواهد شد . الان هر چی موجود توی بازار هستش با همون فن ساخته شده ATI هستش ولی تا چند وقت دیگه همه چیز مثل کارتهای دیگه تغییر میکنه .

With the reference to our associate, here is the radeon HD 4850, prepared for release by Palit company . This card is not completely the copy of reference design, presented a month ago. Instead of TV-Out this card has a HDMI port.

As it was asserted, the price of Palit HD 4850 will lie within limits 142$-157$.

We've managed to get our hands on pictures of two different 9500GT cards from Asus, although at the surface, they look more or less identical. The two models are the EN9500GT TOP/DI/512M and the EN9500GT OC/DI/512M.

We're not exactly sure what the difference between the two are, as the two cards use the same cooler, but we'd expect the OC model to be clocked higher than the TOP model. Due to the Asus TOP cooler, both cards end up being dual slot which seems like a bit of a waste on what will ultimately only be a mid-range card and we can't quite understand the need for such a large cooler on these cards.

Both cards have an HDMI, DVI and D-sub connector and it seems like Asus have decided to ditch the analogue TV connectivity option in favour for HDMI. Both cards also have an SLI connector.

Sapphire was among the first producers who propose the alternative design radeon HD 4850 TOXIC . In this case the card was originally equipped with zalman cooler , memory microcircuits and power elements are covered with radiators . Actually, Sapphire pushes slightly the frequencies of such card - 675/2200 MHz slightly overstated relative to standard 625/1986 MHz .
