Quantum Force is the series of motherboards by Foxconn aimed at serious overclockers, enthusiasts, and gamers alike. Blood Rage is the name of the motherboard Foxconn plans to release, that's based on Intel's newest X58 Express chipset, supporting the upcoming Core i7 processors from Intel.

This motherboard first came to light last week, when a few quick low-resolution snaps were passed on to the internet (covered here). VR-Zone now put up high resolution images, that reveal a lot more about this motherboard. Full-resolution versions of the first picture can be viewed here, and that of the second picture .

MSI has dropped a few pictures of its fancy X58 Eclipse motherboard featuring Intel's X58 and ICH10R chipsets. With this board MSI has decided to use normal copper and heat-pipe cooling rather than their circu-pipe cooling that in my humble opinion looks awful. The board is made out of high-quality components only such as solid aluminum capped capacitors, Hi-C capacitors around the CPU area, sealed ferrite chokes, and Intersil ISL6336 PMWs. The board features MSI's DrMOS MOSFET + Driver IC 6-phase power source design and removable PCIe x1 based 7.1 Creative X-FI audio controller with EAX 4.0 HD support. The board also features a handful of switches and buttons. MSI is providing power, reset, and DLED2 on/off buttons as well as a dip-switch for changing the base clock speeds to 133, 166, or 200MHz at POST time. Several LED status indicators are also informing you for everything from standby mode to QPI phase status. Finally the MSI X58 Eclipse can take up to three PCIe 2.0 x16 graphics cards, a total of ten SATA drives and twelve USB 2.0 devices. More pictures are available here.

DPS = یا همان Dual Power System کارتی است که برای اولین بار در مادربورد های Gigabyte استفاده شد.این کارت بمنظور استفاده از 2 منبع تغذیه استفاده می شود.از مزایای این کارت می توان به Stability یا همان پایداری بالای سیستم و از معایب آن می توان به مصرف بالای برق اشاره کرد.

Crazy cool و Silent Pipe = تکنولوژی بکار رفته در مادربورد های گیگاایت می باشد که برای خنک کردن بهینه NB بکار می رود.سایلنت پایپ به لوله های انتقال گرما گفته می شوند که در داخل آنها یک مومه دیگر نیز وجود دارد که دما را به صورت برابر به سطح مس منتقل می کند و بدین منظور اسم سایلنت پایپ یا لوله های آرام را روی آن گذاشته اند که کاملاً بی صداست.کریزی کول هم به کل سیستم انتقال گرما و مخصوصاً هیت سینک مخصوص که در زیر مادربورد و دقیقاً زیر محل قرار گیری CPU است گفته می شود.

RADEX = که مخفف کلمه Revolutionary, Active, Direct, Exhaust می باشد به سیستمی گفته می شود که دمای متصاعد شده از NB و فن CPU را گرفته و از پشت کیس(جهت غرب مادربرد) بیرون می دهد.

From what we can see, all the heat sinks are black-colored, and the cooling area of southbridge has been enlarged. The number of heat pipe between southbridge and northbridge has been changed to one. The SATA connectors are also moved to the side face, which leaves plenty of room. The debug light is fixed at the left side of the motherboard.

The Eclipse Plus has integrated with NF200 chip, and it features 4 PCIe X16 slot, supporting SLI and CrossFire.

اینتل چیپ P55 خودشو فکر کنم یه خورده زود ارائه داد آخه خیلیا خیالشون راحت بود که این چیپ برای کوارتر سوم 2009 میاد بیرون غافل از اینکه ASUS و MSI بردهاشون رو ساختن.

Many fondly recall the megahertz race -- the 90s phenomena in which Advanced Micro Devices and Intel raced to have the highest-clocked processor. Over time, designers realized such a blind race was foolish, and that it was conceding far too much in efficiency and heat. Now a similar race is heating up over the number of cores in a desktop processor, but only time will tell whether the race is the path of good design, or another blind charge.

Intel already has a four-core 45 nm desktop processor (Nehalem/i7) and a six-core server processor (Xeon) on the market. It plans to roll out an eight-core server processor (Xeon) in Q4 2009.

However, it may fall behind in the core race (though still presumably ahead in die-shrinks) if AMD is able to deliver on its planned release schedule. AMD plans to release its six-core 45 nm processor, codenamed Istanbul in June. The chip, like Intel's 6-core beast, is geared for the server market.

But that's far from AMD's biggest news. AMD has announced plans to beat Intel to 12 cores, releasing both 8 and 12 core processors, codenamed Magny-Cours, in Q1 2010. It has also announced that it will in 2011 roll out its 32 nm Bulldozer core, which will feature up to 16 cores, running on the new Sandtiger architecture. In short -- AMD plans to beat Intel in the core race.

Patrick Patla, an AMD vice president and general manager of its server unit states, "We are not ducking performance. We want to do top-line performance with bottom-line efficiency."

Intel, meanwhile, remains confident that it can deliver equivalent performance with fewer cores via Hyper Threading. Like NVIDIA, Intel is pursuing a slightly more monolithic design with fewer, but stronger processor cores. Intel spokesman Nick Knupffer states, "We are confident we will stay far ahead on performance--and with fewer cores--do so in a more cost-effective, manufacturing-friendly manner. This will be the first time in history where less is more."

Even if AMD can beat Intel in performance, it will still be in dire financial straits until it can translate that performance into sales. AMD took another big loss in its recently reported fiscal quarter, just the latest in several years mostly in the red
